Puma (Puma concolor)
The Puma, also known as the cougar, mountain lion, or Florida panther in my area, once ranged all over North and South America. It's range is now drastically reduced and in Florida is endangered. The cougar has dozens of names in the mythologies of indigenous Americans who admired it's grace and power.
