The Atlantean sword

This is a re-creation of the second sword from my favorite movie as a child. I've changed it here and there to suit my preferences but the overall look is similar. The blade is etched with stylized hieroglyphs which read "What Was Lost" on one side, and "Will Be Found" on the other.

The Cross and pommel are bronze, with the pommel is hot peened to the tang and the cross wedged onto the shoulder. The grip core is hickory which is pinned to through the tang with a brass pin. The grip is covered with a solid leather wrap which is then covered with a spiral wrap of leather cord. The blade is hardened and tempered 1075 high carbon steel.
