Wolf and Rabbit

Here is an early morning scene. The rabbit is in the field, perhaps chewing on a bit of cowslip while the wolf is sitting nearby lazily licking his forepaw. The sculpture depicts the moment when they have both suddenly noticed they are in the field together. What will happen from here is uncertain. Is the wolf hungry or full? Does he feel up to the chase or is he content to go about his business. And if there is a chase? Nine times out of ten, the rabbit gets away. Is the rabbit faster than the wolf? No, but the wolf would be running for his breakfast while the rabbit would be running for his life.
