Suontaka
This is a reconstruction of the famous Finish Princess Viking sword. The original was found in an 11th century grave near the village of Suontaka.
The cross and pommel are bronze with zoomorphic animal designs. The guard is peened to the tang and the pommel is keyed and hot peened. The grip is leather over a wood core. Prototype scabbard is leather over a wood core with matching bronze chape and locket.

This sword is available for $2000 without a custom scabbard. Scabbard can be made for $800. A new sword could be made for $2500. |
